After a nomadic childhood I am now a long time resident of Vancouver. Filling my pockets and head with gleaned
"bits" has been a constant throughout my life. My work slows the experience of looking and ask the viewer to
reconsider the familiar.
Using a variety of materials and formats I investigate the fragmentary nature of perception and our relationship
with the ordinary things that surround us. The disparate ways that materials evoke memory and knowledge and
reflect our nuanced cultural codes underpin my work. I skew the familiar to suggest alternative narratives and
materials.
I received my BFA from Emily Carr University and now exhibit regularly. I have also participated in a variety of
collaborative and community art projects. My work is found in both private and public collections.
